Jed W Taucher, DMD
Dentist in Medford, Oregon

office@drtaucher.com

I was born and raised in Central Point, OR. I've wanted to be a dentist from a very young age and I have always had a passion for the practice and art of dentistry. I feel incredibly privileged that I am able to use my education to contribute to the oral health of my hometown. I enjoy being able to provide quality care for my patients in a welcoming, comfortable environment.

Education and Continuing Education

I studied Biology at Oregon State University and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in 2008. I continued on to the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2012. I then completed a one year General Practice Residency at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i before returning home to the Rogue Valley.

I am a member of the Southern Oregon Dental Society, the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Public Health Dentistry. I participate in all of these organizations to ensure that my patients always receive the highest quality care possible using the latest knowledge, techniques and materials available.

Family Life

In my free time I enjoy running in many events (including Tough Mudder, Warrior Dash, The Rogue Run and the Rogue Valley Relay Challenge), playing golf, stand-up paddle boarding, going to the movies and spending time with my family and friends.

Protecting Your Mouth from Tooth Sensitivity
When your mouth becomes sensitive to heat, cold, or even tastes like sweet or bitter, it can make living difficult. You become afraid to eat, drink, and depending on the weather, you may even become nervous about going outside! Instead of living like that, you need to learn how to protect your mouth. Here are some of the best ways of protecting your mouth when it becomes sensitive.

Make Sure to Keep Up with Your Oral Hygiene Routine
A leading cause of tooth sensitivity is cavities. These often show up when something is missing from your oral hygiene routine. Make sure that you come in and see us every six months, plus keep up with your daily routine. This should include brushing twice, flossing once, and making sure to rinse your mouth fully with an alcohol-free mouthwash.

Call Our Office When You First Notice Sensitive Teeth
One of the best ways of protecting your teeth is to make sure that you come in and see us when you first notice any sign of sensitivity. The best way to protect your teeth from the pain that comes from sensitive teeth is to have us correct the problem as soon as you notice it. We can look at the cause, then treat your teeth to help get rid of the pain. This may involve filling cavities, sealing your teeth, or changing your diet.

Call us today and let us help protect your teeth. We can help you live a life without sensitive tooth pain, and help keep your mouth healthy at the same time.
